Psychotic ReAction 355X Summary Named for a song popular in the 1960’s and perhaps an appropriate description of that decade, this third edition of Psychotic ReAction is a 1963 Plymouth Belvedere two-door hardtop and a consistent performing Super Stock-era replica in its appearance and home garage/small shop construction, with just a touch of current technology. Owners and Sponsors Owned by Still Rock Engineering of Waukesha, Wis. in association with Meece Family Motorsports of Evansville, Ind. and sponsored by K&R Investments of Waukesha, Wis. and Quaden Motors of Okauchee, Wis. Drivers Starting as the primary driver in 2009, Jeff Meece, is in his mid 30’s and self-employed. With driving experience in door cars and dragsters, he is the son of Don Meece, a racer, manager and promoter at Chandler Motorsports Park for more than 40 years, who was also the driver of the 1963 original. History The first Psychotic ReAction was a panel-painted 1963 Plymouth Savoy Max Wedge two-door post car, first raced by Don Meece and Bob Binnix in 1965 / The second Psychotic ReAction was a SS/H 1967 Plymouth Belvedere GTX, raced by Meece, Bernie Bartholome and Bob Wilkiewicz in the early 1970’s. The current car is a Max Wedge replica, originally built in Los Angeles with a 318 poly engine and manual transmission. First titled in Oregon, it was idle 18 years in Wisconsin, then acquired by Tom Dickson of Oconomowoc, Wis. and rebuilt as a street, strip car. Chassis and roll cage fabrication by Dave Zellmer of Big Bend, Wis. and configured for NSS by Still Rock Engineering and Meece Family Motorsports.
