HISTORY
Our car was freshly
restored when purchased
in 2000. A Coronet 500,
383,4-speed
with an 8 ¾ rear. We
showed the car early on
and soon realized that
was not for us, sitting
on the sideline didn't
get it! The car set in
the garage a few years
till in 2003 when I
returned to the drag
strip, as a spectator
and knew what I had to
do! Work started in 2006
and we were on the track
in 2008.
TECHNICAL
The engine is a 1966
440HP block, stock steel
1966 crank, flat tappet
cam, Edelbrock
heads, intake, and carbs.
A special Thanks to
Gerald Griffin, owner of
“Griff's Cam Shop”;
Billings, MO. 727 trans,
built by Todd Sperry
with A and A parts.
Dana 60 rear-end full of
Strange Eng. Parts,
narrowed and built by
owner. This car was
entirely built in our
shop { except the long
block }. A very special
“Thank You” to Thumper
Sparks ( my long time
welding partner and
friend) for his help
installing the roll-
cage, and 4-link
suspension, “we always
get it done”.
