BlueByou 514B
Summary Definitely a rare combination in NSS, ‘BlueByou’ has Hemi power, a classic look and also a unique name which almost took longer to decide on than it took to construct the machine. “It took a year to name it, we had a list of 50 names,” said owner Tom Boehm. “Doug Ice is our more than 60-year old resident hippie. He came up with it.”

Driver Tom Boehm is semi retired and restoring cars with Jim Johnson (Jimmys). A veteran racer, Boehm competed in stock classes, primarily in Chevrolet products at Great Lakes Dragaway (Wisconsin) in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.
History A replica of the famous A-990 factory Super Stock cars produced by Chrysler in 1965, Boehm found the basic material for this re-creation sitting behind a house in Loveland, Colorado in 2003. The condition was excellent. “We didn’t have to do any bodywork,” said Boehm. “A little prep and then we painted it.” The entire process from backyard discovery to racetrack ready for NSS took 14 months.
