restored when purchased in 2000. The engine is a 1966 440 hp
block, stock steel 1966 crank, flat tappet cam, Edelbrock heads, intake
and carbs. 727 trans, built by Todd Sperry with AandA parts.
Dana 60 rear-end 4.56 ratio, with Strange Engineering parts, narrowed
and assembled by owner.

Hemi, automatic, 4.56 Dana rear end and is street driven. John Grinwald
uses this car as a back up car to the Asphalt Elephant--when it gets
sick. The 69 Dart weighs 3500 lbs. with driver and has run a 9.79 @
136MPH in the 1/4 mile. |

This third edition is a Plymouth Belvedere replica
of the original factory Max Wedge car street-driven and raced by Don
Meece of Evansville, Ind. in 1964 and features the best of past and
present. A very consistent 11.50 machine, it is owned by Still Rock
Engineering of Waukesha, Wis. in association with Meece Family
Motorsports and is co-driven by Meece, a 45-year racing veteran, and Joe
Wilkiewicz, a college student in his 20’s.
